Karishma Mehta

Karishma Mehta is the Founder & CEO of The Human Company and the founder of Humans of Bombay, one of India's most influential storytelling platforms.

In 2014 she started Humans of Bombay with a camera, a curiosity about people and a belief in the power of stories. Over the past decade she has redefined digital storytelling, interviewing some of the country's most influential personalities across business, politics, cinema, culture and sport — among them Ratan Tata, Narendra Modi, Sadhguru, Nitin Gadkari, Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji, alongside global sporting icons including MS Dhoni, Smriti Mandhana, Pat Cummins and Jos Buttler.

But the work has never been limited to conversations with the famous. At its heart, Karishma's work has always been about bringing powerful, often unheard stories to the forefront. Under her leadership, Humans of Bombay has built a cumulative community of more than 7 million and helped raise nearly ₹20 crore for individuals and social causes.

She is also the host of The Humans of Bombay Show and the Realign Podcast. A TEDx speaker, author and Forbes-featured entrepreneur, she is now building The Human Company — taking the understanding of people and storytelling that defined Humans of Bombay into a much larger ecosystem of media, content, original IPs and brand solutions.
